It's quite a thing to bring a new life into the world. Looking at my son I keep thinking that just over nine months ago he didn't exist. Not simply that he was somewhere else, or we hadn't met yet, but that profound sense that he never was. Just over nine months ago the blueprint was made, and in that unbelievably short time, a new human being was in the world. All the really obvious and understood mechanics of the process are one thing, as amazing as they are, but to see them applied to your own self is something life-changing. A New Life.

Wow.

Such a profound responsibility to bring a new person into the world.
